Heading south towards Byron/Sydney. We were picked up within 15 minutes one weekday afternoon.

Good spot to get a ride south. Its a short walk from the Gold Coast Airport if you just landed in the country. There is heaps of room for cars to stop, and you should be able to get a lift to the BP Service Station ´Chinderah´ about 10km down the Pacific Motorway.

It seems that a lot of people camp here in their cars, vans and campervans, so if you're there in the morning you can ask around. Otherwise it's a normal rest stop area
